Small picture of me in BA

These pages provide information about various of my interests which I hope people may find either useful, interesting, or both. There are links to other sites for further information as well as photographs and route summaries on the "outdoor" pages. Many people have very fine pages on all the subjects so I have not attempted to simply reproduce these, just to provide a way to find some of the best ones I've come across. The 'Miscellaneous' page contains odds and ends, such as ideas for making your pc do "useful stuff" when you're not using it and humorous pages which have caught my attention. Please feel free to email me using the 'Contact' link (please remove the anti-spam bit in the email address!) if you would like any first-hand advice on any climbing or caving routes mentioned.

Whilst I spend more time than anything else caving, I'd prefer to be ice climbing. Unfortunately, I live in England where the lack of a) low temperatures and b) mountains rather precludes ice climbing at weekends, so caving is a fine alternative for most of the year. Still, at least I no longer live in the South, having moved to the Yorkshire Dales in order to be surrounded by caves and beautiful countryside.
